TD SUMMER READING PROGRAM - This year’s theme was “To the Stars”.  Thank you to Janice Binmore for coordinating our program this year – we had lots of fun and activities!  Also, Thank You to Anthony & Dustin Allerdings, Luke McPherson & Americus Lafont for your much needed help. Also, Thank you to the kids who participated every week and the parents for registering them for such an important program that will surely enrich their children's reading interests!

 

BOOK CLUB – Next meeting will be Thursday Sept.5th in the library at 6:30pm. We will be discussing “The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate; and “Sarah’s Key by Tatiana DeRosnay.  Sept. selections will be books about books which will be handed out that evening. The books selected to read in September are:          

v  The Book Haters’ Book Club by Gretchen Anthony – 2022 Contemporary Humor Fiction

v  The Bookshop of Yesterdays – 2018 Contemporary Fiction

v  The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams- nominee for best fiction 2021 (Contemporary)

If you are interested in participating, please come to our informal meetings!  Suggestions are welcome – New members are always welcome!  This club is for readers who would like to be introduced to new authors, new genres or talk about new books being published; or just to attend a casual evening of socializing with friends/neighbors!

 

The Plot Thickens Garden Club Lecture Series will begin again September 26 @ 7pm.

 Katrina from Vales Greenhouse will be doing a presentation on Perennials.

If you are interested in gaining knowledge of plants, gardens and gardening, date and topic will be posted each month on the Library Website: www.stavelylibrary.ca; Stavely Municipal Library Facebook page, and Stavely newsletter.

All manner of gardeners are welcome – from pot to plot!
